How America lost its independence

Independence Day seems a bit of a strange thing to be celebrating this July 4th. The name doesn’t seem particularly appropriate – America is far from independent. The country has been stealthily conquered by a combination of foreign interests and internal collaborators, a shadowy global network that has captured the institutions, the political offices, and the minds of too many Americans.

How does one subdue a nation of fiercely independent, heavily armed, prosperous frontiersmen, whose national mythology is rooted in a natal revolt against the tyranny of a distant land? Conventional military invasion won’t work. Invading armies would get chewed to bits by a civilian population with enough small arms to equip the combined militaries of the world many times over.

Thus, conquest by stealth.

Biochemical assault on the food supply, introducing toxins while leaching it of nutrients, rendering the population fat, sick, and lethargic.

Endocrinological assault via hormone-mimicking and -blocking plastics and hormone-altering medications, depressing the testosterone that would motivate the men to fight.

Economic assault, stripping the land of factories, consolidating family farms into state-spanning latifundia, crushing household businesses under regulatory burdens, leaving no alternative but employment by large corporations, positions in government bureaucracies, or dependence on government welfare – in every case reducing free men and women to dependants, ripping away their means of self-support and the grounds of their self-respect.

Chemical assault – opiods, marijuana, methamphetamine, crack, anti-psychotics and anti-depressants ... chewing their way through the social fabric as men and women that could have been strong and vital are reduced to addicts with dead eyes shambling through the filth-encrusted wreckage of once great cities.

Moral assault – teach the children that their people are racist, genocidal thieves living on stolen land, descended from slavers, with no right to exist ... a people who do not believe they are worth defending, will not lift a finger to defend themselves ... and many will actively collaborate in throwing open the gates. Teach the men that their instincts to patrol the boundaries of their territory are retrograde, toxic expressions of sublimated homoeroticism, and watch them hesitate to even express the view that their territory should be defended.

Social assault – destroy the relations between the sexes by encouraging men and women to despise one another, inhibit the formation of families, require people to move far and regularly to secure employment, living in anonymous apartment blocks and suburbs in which they don’t even know their neighbors’ names ... an atomized society of strangers is a distrustful society, a society in which the bonds of affection and loyalty that give people something worth defending by giving them people worth dying for, are dissolved.

The conquest of America has been cognitive. The ability of the people to fight has been undermined in a hundred different ways, and America lies prostrate without a shot having been fired.

It’s remarkable how well it worked.

It’s an entirely different question whether it will continue working.

Alien elites vastly outnumbered by the native population always have a precarious grip on power. They cannot rely on the love of the people, for the contempt is mutual and openly expressed. In general, they rely on bribery and terror, always in the anxious knowledge that should the money run out or the fear wear off, raw numbers may overwhelm them in an instant. The rancher can be trampled underfoot should his hungry cattle stampede.

The money is running out.

So they ratchet up the terror. Speak out – lose your job, or be targeted for assault or assassination by proxies of the state wearing the costume of protestors, or be jailed by the secret police on trumped up charges of insurrection.

But the terror is wearing off, as well. They can’t get everyone – they don’t have the numbers ... and their numbers are reliant on their money, for those who serve them are mercenaries more often than they are ideologues ... and the money is running out....

Cognitive conquest was a bold, innovative solution to a difficult problem. A fascinating experiment in the history of warfare.

It has one, crucial weakness.

It relies on the spell continuing to function.

Should the hypnosis be broken ... should the drug habits be kicked ... should the poundage be lost, the diet fixed, the body strengthened ... should the trick be perceived....

Should that happen, the weapons are still there.

The sneak rulers will be reminded that information is not power, data is not power, money is not power, words are not power.

Power is power.

In the final analysis, iron rules gold.

As Russia has been so dramatically demonstrating these last months.

People are taking note.

The spell is breaking.

Like the ozone before a lightning strike, you can feel it in the air.
