Think about it. What if one of those poor trannies come back and cut their mother’s tits off because of what she did to him?! he would go to jail. But she gets to be applauded by all the sick women.
Now, John. This isn't the time to go teat-heaving femmey, particularly in an anti-DEI screed. (Good one, btw.)
"These kids" have every chance in the world on most levels of life. They wouldn't be anywhere near Columbia U otherwise. I mean, even Neil de Grasse Tyson--whose idiocy even cabbages laugh at (no insult to the crucifers intended)--was there because of multigenerational privilege, even as he claimed he suffered raycism and such at UT-Austin.
"These kids"--do you think they consist of 10x powdered sugar and will melt away in the least downpour?
That they will fall apart to bits and pieces if they don't get a participation trophy every ten minutes?
That they are entitled to expect nothing in life to ever not go as they were told to expect...when they signed on various dotted lines for Mr. Bankster and the Fiat Currency Magickers?
That they are somehow VICTIMS for having to live INSIDE OF history, like everyone else, instead of outside of, and over, it, as Mommy Marx assures them is their destiny?
Whence this notion that having to, say, leave college for a few years, or pick another program, or not get access to the program of one's shopping-whim, equals DOOM AND DEATH?
Do you think it's unusual for a student--undergrad or grad or postdoc or whatever--to learn that the program they signed up for, and poured resources into, can't possibly deliver the results they thought?
Do you realize that, as with motorcycles in California, there are no Lemon Laws for degree programs?
>I watched as they shrugged with a total lack of concern over the economic and emotional carnage that the lockdowns were wreaking on the working class, men and women whose jobs, lives, and businesses had been ruined for no good reason, people going bankrupt, falling back into drug addictions, dying of overdoses, their children’s brains rotting in front of screens. What did they care? They had email jobs. They were still getting paid. And working from home was nice, actually, I can go to meetings in my jammies and you should see what I’ve done with my garden, say do you want to Zoom it’s been forever?
I don't disagree with your general opprobrium here. I share it.
But everyone involved went along with it. Not just the poster-child boomer profs you are lowering into the dunk tank for rhetorical effect.
The parents who took out the loans agreed with this system, or decided not to think too deeply about it.
The students who signed on the dotted line did the same.
And they both--parental units and kindern--THEY BOTH expected that if they just rented a seat in Academia, and did what they were told (financially, epistemologically, spiritually, and otherwise), they would eventually see the kindern granted the skin of a flayed ovine bearing Latin incantations...
...that would entitle them FOREVER to leapfrog ahead of the men and women who, while they were at Columbia assuming that their degree program in Dr. Moreau experimentation and systemic coverup of iatrocide (diabetes! it must be a stem cell transplant deficiency!), were out making the world run, keeping it running, and on call 24/7 for the same.
Why wouldn't professors--the vast majority of whom are unemployable outside of their institutional orreries of well-oiled spheres of privilege--do what they've done for the last...I dunno, 80? years???
I will tell a story or two elsewhere in these comments about that. I have taken up more than my share of space replying to you here. But we are in a moment where this stuff has to get aired, and considered, and discussed.
The kids are alright. They're going to be alright. Stop telling the same victimization fantasies as the marxoids do.
The kids have everything they need, especially if they are getting into Columbia. Most of all they have youth, and strength, and the singular privilege of not knowing how the world works. Learning how it works doesn't make them victims. It makes them humans.
Hi, Sharon. I hear what you're saying and don't disagree.
But looking for a good mate in college, since the '80s, has been like looking for wisdom there.
When you need a strap wrench you go to the toolchest, not the chest freezer. And you don't reach for the oscillating multitool.
For too long people have viewed college as a sort of Leatherman-for-Life. "Just rent a seat there, it will supply all your needs/wants."
Kek. Nope.
My darling and I found each other through community media. The hot shit Ivy League quant/qual Ph.D. dropout/shipyard brat...and the crypto spook sailor and electrical infrastructure genius. We never would have found each other in any college. We found each other trying to help people get access to one another to share ideas and perspectives that the MSM increasingly shut down.
It is time that our entire society graduates from the Ed Biz.
I worry too about the kids because the house prices are so high. Do you know in the 50s they were selling houses for just one and a half times a man’s regular salary? Something went really wrong in the banking system unfortunately.
This is why I am not going to complete my education. At the classical high school where I teach there are always three or four younger folks who are teaching while pursuing a PhD, usually in the humanities. When they earn their accolades, I always ask them if they’re going to move into academia. They always tell me no, there’s nothing for conservative straight whites.
Why get it? I ask.
For the degree itself. They say. For the accomplishment. And the rest of the staff nod and agree.
So my colleagues have put themselves through these programs for the sake of keeping these programs alive, so that the university can say that they have a healthy and full doctoral program in the humanities, and never admit that they place their graduates… in conservative classical high schools.
And now I must compete against doctors for employment, advancement, raises… at the secondary level of instruction.
Well if my masters isn’t good enough I will leave teaching. But I won’t play their game. The doctorate isn’t some trophy for its own sake, not for me. It was a career option, and nothing more. And now as far as I am concerned, anyone with a PhD is a walking red flag. Just someone else who capitulated and degraded themselves to academia so that they could get a cool title and a piece of paper to hang on the wall while they grade a stack of a hundred papers written by thirteen year olds on Gatsby.
True. But my pay will soon be capped and I have mouths to feed. And my principal has asked me to consider a PhD for the raise that they otherwise are reluctant to give me that I need.
It is the logic of the salary matrix. Years of service on one axis and degrees on the other. If you are ever going to reform education you are going to have to abolish this. Probably will have to break the unions to get there.
I refuse to refer to people with a PhD in humanities or some other bullshit field doctor. People like doktor Jill, who was a high school English and reading teacher for kids with emotional disabilities at a psychiatric hospital. Then she was a Doktor at the only community and technical college in Delaware. When she can legally write a prescription, except to her drug addicted kids, she’ll be a doctor.
In those days PhDs were not considered essential, but demonstrated ability in languages was. Oxford was also very different from the US system for historic reasons. The academic experience relied on tutorship and tutorials were often one on one tuition, mitigated by rigorous, gruelling, examinations. The US PhD programmes had much to recommend them but were often seen as a touch too Germanic.
US PhD systems were a direct import from Germany. Frankly I think these were a mistake. Much better to focus on ability rather than jumping through a series of arbitrary hoops.
The system that evolved in the 20th c was adapted to meet the needs of mass society which was mostly standardisation. Credentials are quality assurance paperwork that worked well enough in the industrial age when we had effective institutions but nobody takes them seriously anymore. Capacity reveals itself in performance and people can clearly see that credentials bear no relation to ability or achievement.
Trouble is that ability is not distributed to suit the ideological pretensions of our rulers. They get over this or their world dies. Global competition in high tech manufacturing, biotech and warfare will do the job that generations of conservatives and reactionaries neglected.
Credentials make a lot of sense for standardized expertise sets that are expensive to test. You don't want to have to quiz your doctor every time you go to a new one.
For Germans, and their hyper-disciplined and ordered manner, it worked/works perfectly well. For Anglo-Saxon and Mediterranean people it creates constraints that destroy their genius - discovery, and innovation through direct application over relentless, discplined study.
He was awarded a PhD, yet never actually earned his bachelor’s or master’s, but who can argue that Albert Einstein wasn’t one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists to ever live?
I won't. But Hans Schantz has an interesting well-researched piece suggesting that much of Einstein's fame was, as almost all fame is, manufactured. Not quite the same thing, but it may be an interesting starting point for you. https://substack.com/home/post/p-159206835
Being "one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists" is like being "one of the most brilliant exponents of intersectional paradigms in the counter-institutional anti-praxis of transgender art and literature."
It's all fantasy, decoupled from demonstrable, experimentally accessible, replicable reality.
Relativistic corrections are necessary for GPS satellites to function, so while I guess that falls a little outside of everyday reality it's not a million miles removed from practical experiment either.
I have a Ph.D. in a hard science, and I never insist on being called "Doctor". It's not important to me that people know, and it irks people because they see it as social posturing. It reminds me of joke: A passenger on a 4-hour flight is having seizures. The flight attendant asks, "Is there a doctor on board?" About a third of the passengers begin standing up. "I meant, is there a MEDICAL doctor on board?" All of the standing passengers sit down again.
I appreciate where you are coming from but would propose that your colleagues undertaking PhDs also have a point.
Being discouraged from pursuing an educational experience always has its costs. There are circumstances where it makes sense to participate in the system, especially if the acquisition of concrete technical skills are involved.
There are no easy answers, but I would suggest that well-meaning men still within the system for whatever reason can and should be supported morally and socially. There are ways to do this discretely. It is those who are isolated within the system who are at risk.
I stayed as long as I did in academia because I thought that once I cleared the next hurdle, I'd be free. No, you're never free and there are always more hurdles. Masters - you're set. No, you need a Ph.D. Ph.D. - you're set. No, you need a good Post Doc position. Post Doc position - you're set. No, you need an associate professor position. Associate professor - you're set. No, you need to get on tenure-track. At this point I realized that if I remained in academia, I would be owned by it. I would always be subject to the whims and dictates of the Academy. This happened to me in the 90's when people still thought the academy was full of "open minded freethinkers". My advice to young conservative or libertarian scientists, especially in STEM, is that the education is usually worthwhile if you love learning, but if you are an original thinker and wish to act upon your gift, the Acadamy will increasingly frustrate and stymie you until you are squeezed out. You are almost never forced to leave, but if you stay, it's often at the cost of your personal integrity and self-respect.
A certain man once said that he never let his schooling get in the way of his education.
They're not remotely the same thing. As you note above, the schooling is about the credentials.
As the author notes, this article is about the craven submission required to get the credentials.
I abandoned my own university career 40 years ago after the first year because I couldn't abide a process that requires me to regurgitate the opinions of credentialed retards on demand.
Were there good people there who weren't like that?
Of course.
But even then they weren't running the place. The good people don't want to run the place.
University politics is every bit as evil and stupid as DC politics, and for exactly the same reasons.
My sister’s in-laws did the full gambit. Papers, conferences, everything. Had GOOD university positions, tenured. They gave it all up to teach high school and elementary. Couldn’t take the retarded politicking.
Now he writes books for teenagers and she teaches fifth grade. A fifth grade PhD. But they’re so happy, dude. And they just read good books on their own without having to keep up with the Joneses.
I don’t disagree with you. One of my favorite professors 40 years ago taught philosophy related courses such as critical thinking structure and logic. He used the Socratic method of teaching and really was great at it. He made you really think before answering.
He laughed at me for years every time we saw each other because I started calling him JC the first time I took one of his courses. After a few weeks he looked at me and asked why I called him JC. I pointed at his sandals and replied ‘because you always wear those JC Water Walkers’. The lecture hall erupted when I said that! He also wore Levi’s, a pinpoint Oxford, and a sport coat with the patches on the elbows, so it just fit!
First. Thank you for your service to our civilization by teaching at am Occidental Cassical Academy. There is an opportunity here for you. It is to form your own academy. I am not saying this as libertarian B.S. That said, I think there is an opportunity to create an IRL and/or IRL/on-line hybrid program. Parents are starving for this. They just need a convenient testing/assessment process, level remediation recommendations, enrollment, curriculum and program selection, tutoring and networking groups.
Other people are already doing this. Groups of elite Christians have been doing this for decades. There are obstacles to be sure. If you can solve the convenience ease of transition obstacle for parents you will well on your way. Perhaps focus on states that already have a money-folllows-the-student program. Perhaps use Trump's recent EOs to go and set that up in a state or a county in a friendly state. Other options are to build networks with wealthy people and powerful people who think long term and build a feeder academy for civilizational/European peoples and thinking that is ready for leadership and technological excellence.
Your plight sucks. It is not at all hopeless though. I say this as a White man who the system has mocked for 15 years in the industry that has gone so hard anti-White, (it isn't Woke it is anti-White), that it is ridiculous. Every year and every day is a new barrier and a new insult. However, there is always a path forward. To not despair. Forge your will and resolve and exercise your executive agency. You are on a hero's journey for yourself and your people. This will make you and all of us stronger.
But seriously, you wrote what I thought in reply to A.P. the other day but didn't have the opening to reply.
I can attest that there are parents yearning for exactly what you note, and people who would be willing to contribute their own resources to create it for others.
"Forming an academy" isn't as hard as people would make it.
Regarding "accreditation," these days any crap institution can find an accrediting body. Would parents want to send their kids to learn at an unaccredited or unusually accredited institution? Well, they do it all the time already.
Consider also: what does it take to create an accrediting body? Draw up a set of standards, formalize them, create an assessment instrument--voila.
Nobody can argue that "Well, my kid won't be able to get into grad school." No academic credential of any sort is required to take the GRE, for instance. Indians get into grad school all the time with sub-standard schooling (though of course they have plenty of their own inside US and Canadian universities by now, greasing their access).
If parents are about "buying the brand" (Big Ten, Ivy League, Seven Sisters, etc.), then they're going to do that no matter what...but even that is being increasingly exposed as expensive nonsense. I've advised parents for decades not to waste money on expensive undergrad brands...but let me not digress there.
The trick is, somebody's got to take the plunge, putting education ahead of schooling/credentialling.
Also I see no reason why people couldn't gather for Home School at the college level the same way some gather for Home Church.
My teacher used to speak of "the student and Mark Hopkins, sitting on a log." That was his model, even though he worked inside the system. In his case, for 35 years, that system was a military college with liberal arts and engineering programs equal to the US service academies'. In the '70s the powers that be decided we no longer needed military colleges, so that one "went civilian." Within six years it was fully occupied by the idiocrats. I am thankful that I got in and out in three years, at the very beginning of the big change-over, and got to have him as my teacher before he was forced out in favor of Black Studies, International Studies, social studies, hotel management studies (seriously), etc.
Yes. Hotel Mgmt Degrees and student loans for Americans while subcontinental cartels were getting subsidized by Americans to buy out the hotels and operate them. Of course, all at the same time Americans were being thrust into a service economy through offshoring of industry but a foreign nation's people got subsidized to take over a major service industry. Of course, all that instead of studying productive endeavors like STEM and having even more subcontinentals come in and predate on those jobs that they were trained for while Americans got Hospitality Mgmt degrees.
It is as if The Regime sat in a room and planned what the maximal degree of absurdity and abuse they could subject Americans to and then did it and sat back and laughed as it happened. I always think of Krugman's smirk after that interview where he said American Whites are an ethnic problem but in the end their power is going to go away and then slyly proposed genocide via their future being Bill deBlasio. Demonic.
The level of crimes and foreign predation and misdirection ... ... that The Regime has perpetrated since the 60s and 70s is breath taking. If most people knew and understood this thing would blow. Of course "Wokism" is there to hoodwink "compassionate" whites from comprehending the scale of their dispossession and how badly they have been abused during the process, all the while cheering for and handing their future away to the hordes that are salivating at their demise.
You have honed right in on the setting: "Americans being thrust into a service economy through offshoring of industry" while foreigners were subsidized to compete with Americans. The racial/population element of all this was obvious...and forbidden to speak.
> Hotel Mgmt Degrees and student loans for Americans while subcontinental cartels were getting subsidized by Americans to buy out the hotels and operate them.
The former military college I attended had its liberal arts curriculum reshaped by its dean, a jew who was very keen on "international studies" programs bringing Indians in. The engineering department was especially a target--not by him (the engineering dean was a different guy), but by the industries on the waterfront whose CxOs wanted cheaper, more tractable tech labor. And who imagined setting up new production facilities where the labor was cheaper Over There, and where there weren't all these uppity locals complaining about illegal toxic waste dumps exploding and OSHA health/safety standards and 40-hour-workweeks and such.
This dean was enthusiastic about traveling to India to set up programs, and bringing in Indians to our college. And the thing is, he was a Republican, not at all Woke. But even then there was this supposedly conservative view that was indistinguishable from later Wokeness in just as you say hoodwinking "compassionate" whites. And of course, at that time, there were hot-and-cold-running annual race riots, and the whole "civil rights" mess already had burned over much civic trust....
The "hotel management" program arose with the acquisition of a two-year college about 15 miles away. They needed a way to feed people into the four-year programs who never could have qualified for matriculation as baccalaureate candidates.
They also needed to acquire a doctoral program to turn the college into a university, so got hold of a law school known to be well interconnected with the "Italian" mafia. I have no idea where that all went after I parted ways in the '80s. But from all this I learned that the Ed Biz had profit formulas that had nothing to do with learning, education (higher or otherwise), etc.
One semester I was serving an internship in the President's and Development offices of my college alma mater. I was dispatched to write an article for the alumni magazine involving the "hotel management" program, which iirc was run by a Greek. There were lots of Greeks locally, including those who, as you note, were subsidized to take over the "hospitality" industry. They had earlier established a beachhead at that college through the business administration program.
There was really nothing to write about in hotel management program. It was...make work academia for people who were going to get jobs in hotels doing not much of anything that required college. So I ended up telling the story of how a handful of students had made a four-foot-tall ice swan for some Do that they were helping cater. There was also a disagreement with my boss/mentor about how to spell "chaud-froid sauce." My French was pretty good; hers was nonexistent.
And nowadays EVERYONE cheats their way to the top, because actual knowledge and expertise isn't important to them, only getting the degree, because the degree is the ticket to prestige, position, recognition, and joining the elite.
I was a triple AAA hockey coach in Toronto, and running the sports program at a good school in Rosedale (I got very lucky getting that job).
Anyways, I was already toeing the line for refusing to wear a mask (the 4 percent that did not in the Libtard city), but, when the jabs became mandated, it was too much.
I knew there was nothing in the whole world that would make me take it. It never, ever made sense from the beginning. Why do I need protection from something with a 99.98 percent survival rate? If I was playing poker with quads, and my opponent needed runner runner to hit a straight flush, I would bet every dollar I had I would win that hand. Plus, I already had covid once (sick for two days).
Anyways, I felt like the world went crazy when they forced the kids (I was coaching 13 year old minor bantam) to get it. But I’ll never forget the deranged, psychotic look in the other coaches eyes demanding the jabs for the kids to save them.
I had a religious exemption, which was good enough for the OMHA to let me in. But the problem was the rinks were gov property, so I couldn’t get in the rinks.
Anyways, here’s my point and where I’m taking all this.
A few days ago, a 14 year old hockey player from my home town (keswick Ontario) died from cardiac arrest. A perfectly healthy, fit young talented boy; gone.
No one will say why. No one will ask why . . . Except the people who know what killed the kid 💉
How do I feel?
In a sense, I feel bad for the kid himself, and the family. I’ll pray for him. But.
But.
I’m old enough now to consider the personal responsibility of parents to their kids. Ultimately, the parents told this kid to get jabbed, and the result is a dead son. A permanent solution to a very temporary problem.
I nearly lost my mind when they started coming for our kids. I managed to save three of my five from having it. One is an adult, the other an older teen who thought she knew better. Both only had one shot as far as I know. I never knew I could despise teachers so much. Turns out I can. My heart hurts every time I see an article about another child dropping dead. It is an atrocity.
I thought force vaccinating the kids was the hill to die on for me. I was outspoken, but when I saw how happy the parents and kids were to get it, lining up like cattle desperate for the jab, I knew any attempt or public argument was hopeless.
I knew I could only try to protect my own family and friends.
The Covid pandemic was a revelation for us all. It exposed people for what they were. The innocent suffered the most, as they always do, but we can honour their memory by robbing the system of the cowardice and docility it needs to perpetuate itself.
At least you behaved honourably. There would have been people who noticed your example and that would have made it easier for them to do the right thing too.
The academic elites were arguably the most docile. A PhD. professor of mine, when I spoke to him in early 2021 about the problems with the jab, said paraphrasing: "I don't possess the credentials to argue with the CDC."
More appropriately, may God have mercy on the parent's souls. And the administrator's that forced it. The boy was innocent and the Good Lord knows that, of course.
Wait till the Undergrads forced to get the jab receive their Doctorates, decide it's time to start a family, discover that their infertile. The U. Presidents will be watching their 6 for the Luis Mangiones.
IOW, these academics fear that the grift upon which their livelihoods depend might get cut off. Our entire educational system has become a giant moneylaundering operation--student loans impossible to pay, grants that only go to those who follow the desired narrative of the donors, and at the precollegiate level, an education which eschews critical thinking, be it public school or private.
It is impossible to obtain most of these positions you mention unless one thinks in the right way--it's been that way for a long time. It really got going in the late 70s and 80s--they weren't about to let colleges become effective centers of political resistance again. My favorite professors were all denied tenure.
I feel ya, man. I quit law school many moons ago because I refused to become the person I had to become in order to get that degree, and I've paid for it materially ever since. I think it was worth it because I can still look myself in the mirror.
Integrity is a biomedical issue. Coerced association, belief or speech crushes people at a psychoaffective level, with downstream behavioural and physical effects over time. Which is why the regime is so heavily invested in normalising coercion at all levels.
Something dark was unleashed in the run-up to Reaganismo. It got worse in the '80s...and my sense is that it amped up with the public hit on JFK, intensified in the '60s, but really got its sea legs around 1973-1975.
It is if you let it become that. You always have a choice. You can walk away. You can educate yourself on the tricks of the propagandists. It takes effort, determination, and sheer orneriness helps.
Destruction of one's individual Identity in exchange for group-collective Identity. Suicide of the SELF, leading to negative self-image, self-loathing.
Proto-woke was a big thing in some Australian high schools in the 80s and was entrenched in the universities by the early 90s. At the time it was impossible to understand as anything other than inexplicable weirdness. The utility of it all for the regime became clearer to me much later on, albeit at some cost.
Suppressing critical or analytic capacity in potential opponents is essential for the regime's survival in the long term.
So it happened just a little later in Australia. Interesting. Yes, a population unable to critically think, or as Thomas Paine would say, to reason, is much easier to control.
Spot on. It is a fundamental misunderstanding to not see that the powers that be Never view the exclusion of intelligent, and likely contributory individuals as an “opportunity cost” that they should avoid, rather the opposite. If you think of their attitude in the correct manner, you will see that, as you conclude, the suppression of dissenters - and hence in their eyes potential opponents - was ever uppermost in their minds.
I endeavor to be a race/culture realist, and the obstruction of white men attaining positions of authority, PARTICULARLY in the tuition of the younger generation, and in the transmission of the value of their cultural traditions, is Job #1 for these civilization wreckers who, in their eyes view us as their eternal enemies, Amaleks all.
The system knows that resistance isn't a Frankenstein film, it doesn't come from the peasants.
It comes from other factions of the elite and is supported by ideological narratives invented by the intellectual class who have prostituted themselves to the elite.
Hence the advice of the emperor Qin to his heirs and successors:
In Orson Scott Card's *Ender* series, the insectoid aliens known as Formics were depicted as something like overgrown ants — hives full of sterile drones overseen by Hive Queens. One interesting psychological quirk OSC attributed to Formic Queens was that whenever they came to believe something, they effectively gaslit themselves into thinking they had never thought anything different. If, for instance, a Queen thought that Tuesday was the first day of the week, and someone corrected this misapprehension, she would retroactively persuade herself that she had never, not once, thought Tuesday to be the first day of the week. Ender himself expressed frustration with the challenges this presented in his discourse with the Queen he had become acquainted with.
Perhaps the most fantastical part of the *Ender* series was the notion that humans (especially our females) are any different.
As an aside, I believe it is also later stated that Formic males, who serve as their drones, are in fact possessed of free will, but held in thrall by the queens through psychic domination. Make of that what you will.
I'll once again tell of E.O. Wilson--at the time a world renowned expert on Formicidae--being asked in an interview what he thought of Marxism. He replied in his soft Alabama drawl, "Great theory. Wrong species."
100% they wouldn’t get federal funding. And that’s ok. Without the need for managing all the mountains of paperwork, you would have no need for 95% of the administrative work. Tuition likely would be about the same as current schools, just massively more efficient and effective.
I imagine there are Christian schools that do just this; I think Hillsdale stood up to them. I don't know that much about that side of the world, though, to be honest.
Yes there are a few schools like that but unfortunately I think most still have gone DIE with predictable results. Frankly, I am not sure that you can have a fully DIE free school in the United States. You might need to be based in a different country that doesn’t have those kinds of mandates. Take SpaceX for example: government sued them for refusing to consider hiring foreigners because they were complying with government regulations like ITAR.
The vast majority of other countries are *less* libertarian or Christian than the USA. Most European countries and many others have speech codes...and to boot you'd be foreigners doing weird political stuff.
Probably the biggest center of Christianity outside the USA would be in Latin America, but they're not too fond of Yankees.
I got a religious exemption too. I still work for a nonprofit social research org. It’s a figurative blood bath right now as you can imagine. I’m waiting to be laid off. I don’t at all feel sorry for myself. I’ve felt conflicted about being there since 2021 when they mandated the experimental injections. Out of those I work with, they have learned nothing. They still think they are on the right side of history. I’m dusting off my resume…
He's actually a nice guy compared to me. He must have inadvertently added the L to his handle, because he is very much the aristocrat. As a matter of fact he is an Un-peasant. Unlike moi. Heh.
I can attest to witnessing what you said first hand. What you wrote is not an exaggeration. It has been grueling to witness and endure the DEI propaganda and censorship coming out of the academy. Glad to see that you are on the other side.
When SubStack becomes as trusted as Google was, to the same buyers it will be worth a billion of cost-less Fait dollars. They enter the number into the Black-Book account besides the over 21 billions (in Y1999) given to military contractors.
Anyone else remember early Google, back when it was not mind-raping reality-twisting evil? Or do you still trust it?
One day I wanted the URL to a National Blood Back study that sample 90,000 children and found 30,000 had wrong father listed, Parental Fraud of 1/3 .. but Google censored it. I dug up an old writing that had the URL and yes, it still was on web, but must have hurt some VagFeelies, or more likely that between that showing mothers (a good statistical sample of women) will lie to entire family and the real father, life crippling lies, to those she professed to love.
So, on a hunch I search for the 3 year study of a police department that investigated every Filed Rape accusation and found material evidence of confession that over 40% were false. Those are the false ones they could prove. Nope, not in search results so I dug up the URL and it was to a FBI web page, but study gone from it .. so having the Researchers name and title I found it in an archive somewhere. Even the FBI is mind-raping demonically controlled.
And why hide these and replace with 'new' research studies where ideolog feminist pull fake small values out their anus? Perhaps we would realize that Islam understands women better then baby-murdering male-hating false-rape-accusing walking putrid-souled bag-of poison vomit might not be trustworthy, Divorce-raping father and children torturers might lie?!
"Say it ain't so John!"
And Google did remove the "Don't be evil!" mission statement, but forgot to add the "Satanic demonic soul-mind-body raper and mutilator no-cost [but soul in Hell] Web-service."
IMO, academia went off the cliff when the filthy, vermin ridden hippies stopped protesting and burning down campuses and decided to infest and take them over instead. Back in the late 60's and 70's. Something along the lines of 'if you capture the young at an early age you shape them and own them for life'. Attributed, if I'm not mistaken, to that communist vermin Lenin.
Agreed, the worst part for me raised in the 90s was that my entire life I was raised to be a scholar and brought up pretty much in academia. I don’t really know of any other life-style, but as I’m pragmatic and can point out there’s only two sexes and am politically incorrect and despise the French Revolution I was out. I’m also of Francophone-Irish stock so my skin got in the way though I was smarter than most of my peers.
Most I can aim for now is cleaning toilets or teaching English in foreign countries until I get my teaching certificate and teach French. But history is no longer in the cards for me. Nor is becoming a philologist-professor or Medieval-professor, except on Substack (where I also put up Fantasy-Serials).
So my situation is strangely a direct mirror to John’s if ‘Frencher’. It’s why I really appreciate him and understand his frustration and anger. We scholars have been denied the only life we know.
It was my love and quest when I started grad school, at my department, whose promise of "interdisciplinary inquiry" on human communications seemed to offer a potential path. (I also wanted to couple it with ethology, and All Things Logosian.)
Yeah, that didn't go well inside the institutions.
Yet here we are.
All hail JCR Licklider and Bob Taylor. Sometimes the spook agencies get somethng right.
Ever since I noticed that the rulers are re-writing tomorrow's history today. Lies are still told to the 'news papers of record' - well, corp-media of record and mentioned even in the UN although they have been debunked but good journalists. Oct7th lies of beheaded babies, of preg. woman knifed open, of rapes, of babies in ovens, never recording in Record that most israeli military and civilians were killed under 'Hannibal Doctrine' by israeli military that would rather they kill 1/2 or more israelis then allow one to be taken as hostages to trade for the over 1000 never tried Palestinian men, women, and children, tortured and driven insane through seeing the genocidal Demons-wrapped-in-human-skin, some are alive while organs are stolen for illegal organ trafficking and bodies then left to putrefy and then returned so no one will look closely.
So, Krynn, you and your brothers should consider last 200 years where Zionist and Freemasons rewrote history and apply your models of human nature to find what is missing. Part of Wisdom is seeing what is missing.
You might consider the 'true' protected by law, the reEducation Nazi-camps, the extra 5.7 millions of never alive undead European Jews that haunted and weaken us all, young going to bed with a little more self-loather or terror that they could be next. Forget the Jewish Bolsheviks starvation Genocide of 10+ million White Christians in Ukraine and understand that they baby-blood sucking murderous horrors were always here, Satan now walks the earth out of the his anus in the world, israeli, 75+ years of spewing poison-diarrhea over the world.
French Rev., CivilWar, British Empire bother-killing wars, WWI, Armeenan Genocide, Holodomor, WWII, .., Ukrainian-Russian Holodomor PartII, ..
The other night I got to watch the recent BBC documentary about life in Gaza (the one that BBC censored). They kept referring to the situation there as "war." What I saw was a 140-square-mile concentration camp holding 2.1 million people...that would be regularly bombed with the excuse of "terrorist cells."
What used to be the rewriting of history has, for awhile now, been a continuous process. Now it is conducted by AI and algos.
If you haven't seen Thomas Karat's interview with Glenn Diesen, I recommend it.
Far older than that, the bit about "give me a child for the first years of its life" dates back to pre-Antiquity:
"Teach a boy how to walk and as a man he won't stray from the path" as the oldest version I've seen translates to English.
The issue isn't that, since the alternative is to /not/ raise, discipline and teach the child, but who does it, in which ways and to what ends. Always was, too - why else does every cult demand to be allowed their own schools? Including the Cult of the State in that, obviously.
An important essay, thanks again! Never forget or forgive those who locked up our elders and murdered them, denying them their loved ones at their sides. I watched friends stand outside nursing home/ "care facility" windows while these little dr. faucis killed their parents. Good thing my father didn't fall into that. I would be writing this from death row, lols. The medical industrial complex and all their brainwashed zombies, and their apologists, all need a dirtnap, the sooner the better.
"The Mob", those who Aristotle wrote about, those whose 'virtue' (in the moral sense of belonging to the fashion of the day) are our worst enemies; our fellow white-skinned warriors of the current truth will seek out and destroy "heretics" in the same manner as the witch hunters of a bygone era. (HOA dwellers take note, lols).
In the very much more difficult times ahead (as forecast by many of our brethren in the "willing to go there" camp), paying attention to the snitches and back-stabbers, vetting them carefully for any discussions or potential for overhearing private conversations, etc. is of GREAT IMPORTANCE.
It sucks being a white man trying to get work these days. We've all seen the stat that 94% of S&P 100 hiring went to POC. I wonder if the government workers who are concerned about discrimination will jump on that stat to mandate that, actually 50% of those jobs should be going to white people if we are going to follow population models?
The regime is sly. Transparency risks recognition. Also the personnel are simply allergic to honesty. And the beneficiaries resent being identified as recipients of unmerited favours.
This is no Joke for me. I shaped myself from 5th grade love of science, 7th grade love of Computer Science and math, worked and studied hard, expected to go into research - perhaps robotic and AI, make a living wage for wife, 5 kids, house 2 cars, vacations, .. but what did I run into? Baby-murdering man-hating vile vicious lying meritless hires that Witch-Whisper-Web lies and destroy reputations in secrete, isolating and turning a F-ing dream Job I was born to do and love into a hell scape of Witch evil.
Anyway, whenever I hear of a school or workplace shooting and wonder if he killed the top Witch and the 2 minions in her coven and any of Satan's little corrupted putrid-soul helpers, turning the place into a man-hating toxic nightmare, and so I hope that he did not shoot any innocent men, because the women all see that evil and lie in silence, and so they better piled with the Witches and piss-on.
I have known 3 of the 1000 women that could have, 3 tried to warn or explain that deep-Evil has a female form, so 3 out of the silent lying unCaring or enjoyers of our torture, so .. why would we men, children, and decent 0.3% women not be Sadly jubilant at the death of the rest of the 99.7% Western or world womanhood, baby-murdering child abusing father-family-self destroying 'late for the dirt nap' NPC pig-turds?
If you follow population models, and then consider merit, it should about 80% white. But alas, all brown people are way more intelligent than we whites, so they should get their pick first.
"I once had a dean, a middle-aged Hispanic woman, tell me ‘women in science are very important to me’ right at the beginning of the interview; I very nearly got that job..."
See, JC, your first mistake was not dressing in drag for your interview. 🤪
But their loss is our gain, because if you'd gotten the job, you likely wouldn't be entertaining all of us now with your incisive analysis and caustic wit. And we'd all be the poorer for it...😉😊
Indeed. Now multiply that mistake across the many thousands of white males they locked out, who are now gathered outside their tent and pissing an absolute river of vitriol in.
It couldn't possibly be enough ... but if it could be as noticeable as the pro-Hamas demonstrations at Columbia (and elsewhere), it would be a mighty accomplishment...😬
I woulda said "I have a challenge to overcome in this society also, for which I'm getting help to try dealing successfully with" while I pulled putz outta pantz & started spanking.
COVID-19 could have been an excellent opportunity to mandatorily retire the tenured Flower Children who stayed academia in order to avoid the draft. Opportunity lost.
Consider Evergreen State in WA state. The tenured faculty there (they don't call it "tenure"--they call it CONVERSION) are GenX or younger. There were like two profs of that '60s era involved in The Troubles. The rest were the Bret Weinsteins (screeching Muh Antisemitism when fanged on the glutes by the snakes he'd hatched who saw him as a white man) and Naima Lowes (even younger, closer to Millennial I think).
Enjoy boomer bashing if that's your thing...but the poison of "the Sixties" (and the people teaching/allowing that crap were WW2 and Silents) is nothing compared to the poison of DEI, Pride, and the Postmodern Panopticon. You want to empty out academia, you better think about the ones who went there after it was declared the Employer of Last Resort in the 1980s, post-"deindustrialization."
If you go to the faculty/staff directory you will see that the vast majority of faculty took their terminal degrees in the 2000s. The big area of excitement now seems to be Brown People Studies. Especially (feather) Indians. There's a lot of money changing hands around the reservations in WA state.
This meshes with my impression viewing it all from afar, and talking to a couple people from my weaving guild who worked there, that the energetic ideologues and TDS sufferers among the faculty were GenX and younger.
The whole "diversity canoe" thing was an Indian thing, a metaphor that rose from the Charles Wright Academy in Tacoma. Boomers didn't do a lot of hiya hiya. That came later.
There was one old commie (literally) named Bomer, who iirc got thrown out of UC San Diego decades before. I forget the story now. But he could be seen in most videos of the scenes in the Evergreen State president's office, lurking around the edges of the action. He was big on encouraging BLM violence. (That's how The Troubles began. Some watermelon and beer thieves were apprehended a few miles from campus, at a Safeway iirc, and the BLM provocateurs ginned up riots around that. Everybody was pre-riled up by 8 November 2016.)
Realize also that WA state has been targeted by anti-gun billionaire tech boomers like Paul Allen, Michael Bloomberg, Nick Hanauer, Bill Gates, Melinda Gates, Steve Ballmer, and Connie Ballmer. They have probably paid various NGOs for mayhem. Wouldn't surprise me to find there were connections between their money and the attacks on Tesla drivers in Seattle/King County. (If they can goad someone into shooting an attacker, it's a win win win win win.) The collegiate activity is downstream from the big bucks, and the kindern are hoping for jobs in the nonprofit sector.
Of course Evergreen State's president in '17 was a boomer (and former head of the Mary Gates Foundation at UW-Seattle). But the boomers you're imagining were these. Also ON THE BOARDS of the college and in key admin positions, like the head of IT.
You maybe can blame boomers for "educating" most of the faculty then, and more now. But my sense is, the age demographic turnover among faculty I believe mostly happened during Obama's second term. This is part of why they were so vehement. What we're seeing now in terms of hysteria over DOGE is the ripening of earlier anxieties, where younger GenX and Millennials, who were expecting the Diversiwoke Gravy Train to run forever, saw it derailed.
I knew Scott Card in the 80's when he lived in NC. My roommate's father was a professor at my university and used to have him over a lot. Occasionally we'd have Bull sessions discussing whatever ideas we found interesting - great fun! He's an enigma. You might assume from his Mormon background he'd be based, but some of his ideas are just radical, sometimes even beyond comprehension, as in "What?".
(If I infer correctly that this was supposed to be a reply to my comment)
OSC is, as I understand it, a Mormon. Mormonism per se somewhat defies the classic RP/bp formula, or at least some of its thinkers do. Himself, though, I think he definitely fell more on the bp side, unless I'm just totally missing something. Great author, don't get me wrong, and actually doing good work is naturally going to abate the tendency somewhat, but he does seem to buy into a lot of Leftist premises wrt women especially.
I'd say he's that type of bp man who's acutely aware of the structural problems with the bp understanding of sex dynamics, but will still defend it to the death as the Best Way, if you know what I'm talking about.
Excellent article. It was cathartic to find someone else who feels like I do. I have twins, they were 13 when the jab hit. My son got it ( two of them actually) behind our backs because of the crazy age of consent in our state. He’s now a hypochondriac and very sorry for his choice. He’s had a full heart check up and is ok for now. My daughter did not get the jab. She’s emotionally much more stable. Breaks my heart.
My heart breaks for these kids, man. They never had a chance.
As to the parents? I hope they suffer to their graves and beyond.
Think about it. What if one of those poor trannies come back and cut their mother’s tits off because of what she did to him?! he would go to jail. But she gets to be applauded by all the sick women.
I read the other day a study that showed that only 8% of Canadian boomers believe that a median home price of $852,000 is a problem
Billions, but boomers specifically.
But it isn't a problem (for them).
They have no decent girls among them. Very few. Who are they gonna find for a wife? What kind of husbands will they be?
After years of all the propaganda and brainwashing, these girls are only looking for a good time
That’s great. I’m really glad for you. Life can be terrible without a partner, so it’s great that you have one.
My darling passed last summer, very suddenly (healthy, and pureblood...).
But thanks for the civil reply.
I worry too about the kids because the house prices are so high. Do you know in the 50s they were selling houses for just one and a half times a man’s regular salary? Something went really wrong in the banking system unfortunately.
Oh, that’s a shame! It’s such an extremely difficult time for you now the first year. I’m so sorry.
No thanks.
Surely after you've been teaching there a while, they won't require you to get a PhD.
True. But my pay will soon be capped and I have mouths to feed. And my principal has asked me to consider a PhD for the raise that they otherwise are reluctant to give me that I need.
How extremely fucking gay of them.
It is the logic of the salary matrix. Years of service on one axis and degrees on the other. If you are ever going to reform education you are going to have to abolish this. Probably will have to break the unions to get there.
But then these people would have to make judgments about performance and ability, and take responsibility for those decisions.
Much easier to create a system that relies on credentials and time in service, etc.
This is more understandable in very large organizations like the military, but in a high school? It's just laziness and cowardice.
I find it hard to imagine that 'not making judgments about performance and ability' would work out well in a military that actually goes to war.
But yeah. Far too much it going around. Just in time for AI to render us obsolete.
I actually did that
Negotiated it with the union no less. But then I retired, the union rep that I negotiated with went away and the whole thing went away.
Credentialism is for the retarded.
Is your principal a chick? We love fake pieces of paper
Tolkien had but a masters when he taught at Oxford.
Problem is they're easily gamed.
So now you have to quiz your doctor.
For Germans, and their hyper-disciplined and ordered manner, it worked/works perfectly well. For Anglo-Saxon and Mediterranean people it creates constraints that destroy their genius - discovery, and innovation through direct application over relentless, discplined study.
Eugyppius would disagree that it works so well in Germany.
Are you seriously under the impression there's some vast gulf in personality between anglo-saxons and germanics?
He was awarded a PhD, yet never actually earned his bachelor’s or master’s, but who can argue that Albert Einstein wasn’t one of the most brilliant theoretical physicists to ever live?
I can
You can, but you’re not likely to prevail.
I'd be interested in hearing that argument. (Non-physicist, and not biased strongly either way.)
Is that why scientists today are still proving his theories were correct?
https://www.livescience.com/10-discoveries-that-prove-einstein-was-right-about-the-universe-and-1-that-proves-him-wrong
“His” theories. Right.
I’ll bide my time. If academia changes in my time it may be worth it, as you say.
The important thing is not to give up on self-improvement and related academic ideals. These can be pursued outside of academia.
Life is much better off the treadmill. This is one the reasons I dropped the English major and switched to physics. I could read whatever I wanted.
Very true, unless your research requires several million dollars' worth of cutting-edge equipment.
Capre Diem!
> Capre Diem!
It's Goat Day?
Absolutely well put, sun-skimmer.
Unfortunately, we live with our choices.
God have mercy on that kids soul.
There is no fate too horrible for the people who did this.
The boy was innocent and the Good Lord knows that, of course.
much more appropriate. Kids, like my dog friends, have no agency. They are innocent.
Decent narrative, though "the deranged, psychotic look" is just a pious &/or hockey thingy.
One's integrity is worth far more than any paycheck. A paycheck can be taken away, integrity can only be given. You made the right choice.
Integrity is a biomedical issue. Coerced association, belief or speech crushes people at a psychoaffective level, with downstream behavioural and physical effects over time. Which is why the regime is so heavily invested in normalising coercion at all levels.
There's a lot of depth to unpack here. You're absolutely correct. Hormonal and neurological consequences. Actual brain damage.
Damage in every biological system, John.
It is a full-body, full-mind, full-soul assault.
"I didn't have a choice" is never really true. There's always a choice.
No COMMON SENSE by Thomas Paine.
You just described communism!
"First, kill all the intellectuals."
Zion Don is doing the next best thing.
I agree; the problem is and has always been 10% malevolent ideology, 90% cowardice and shallow status games.

Imagine the school that you would have if you hired the DIE rejects for students and teachers.
They wouldn't get federal funding.
Until now, perhaps...? Maybe this is the moment to move?
100% they wouldn’t get federal funding. And that’s ok. Without the need for managing all the mountains of paperwork, you would have no need for 95% of the administrative work. Tuition likely would be about the same as current schools, just massively more efficient and effective.
I imagine there are Christian schools that do just this; I think Hillsdale stood up to them. I don't know that much about that side of the world, though, to be honest.
However Hillsdale still worships the Ghost of Churchill, and will not allow any alternative study to the Received Wisdom of "world war" "two."
That's why I stopped donating to them.
It's sad watching them march themselves off a cliff, but also grimly amusing.
I take great joy in watching them march off a cliff, but then again, I'm unpleasant.
Are you in any way related to Ivan the Unpleasant?
He's actually a nice guy compared to me. He must have inadvertently added the L to his handle, because he is very much the aristocrat. As a matter of fact he is an Un-peasant. Unlike moi. Heh.
Cleans up the gene pool.
I can attest to witnessing what you said first hand. What you wrote is not an exaggeration. It has been grueling to witness and endure the DEI propaganda and censorship coming out of the academy. Glad to see that you are on the other side.
Definitely felt this essay. Academia went bonkers years ago and will never recover.
I am sorry for your pain John. Thankfully for people like us there's substack. I just hope the psychos don't gain control of this site also.
I didn't think they will. The founders seem to very committed to free speech, and the general culture is moving hard against the left.
Good. We’ve swung too far to the Left.
Did you try duckduckgo or one of the others?
DDG is fully compromised, since it's a (supposedly) nontrack skin on Google.
I have a huge list of altsearch engines. Last time I was in an online discussion of the topic, it was here on SS...but I don't recall which 'stack.
Mind sharing it.
No, but I don't trust you not to be a bot.
There is no market for philology in the universities. The Internet, however, may be a different story.
Agreed
ReEducation camps:

Looked into all that already, M. Work definitely chilling stuff to find out we’ve almost 200 years of lies.

And they've been poisoning our young ever since.
Substack is definitely in their crosshairs.
Sad but true
Ha...Haha! From olde or young; violent or mellow; coyote, cougar or coont; gibberish is gibberish.
Funny how the white male population percentage never applies.
I had an essay a while back pointing out that frank racial quotas would actually be better for white people than what we have now.
Agreed. I'd love to see the NFL after they fired 75% of the players. Heh.
The regime is sly. Transparency risks recognition. Also the personnel are simply allergic to honesty. And the beneficiaries resent being identified as recipients of unmerited favours.
Start in HR departments please.
Part of the problem is white men waiting hat-in-hand (and bong in mouth) for jobs rather than creating them.
Yep. Been saying that myself for years.
There aren't that many of those left.
Point taken. But many profs stick around well into their gray haired years and we are talking 5 years ago.
Fascinating. Only ever read the first book tbh.
Card was either very based, or very bluepilled.
Well, he is a science fiction writer.
Goddamnit. The fucking app, I swear.
What's RP/bp?
Generally I've found Card hit and miss. Some great stuff, and some snoozefests.
RP (Redpill)/bp (bluepill)
You said he was either based or bluepilled. Just me trying to be... hm, clever, maybe. Something like that.
Oh lol I didn't pick up on that at all 😂 my bad, should have thought a bit harder on it!
God bless and protect you and your children.
