Before we get started, a quick pre-amble. I seem to have picked up a nasty cold at the event you’re about to read about, possibly as a result of my immune system being run down by lack of sleep for too many days in a row, and between the pounding head and sneezing (which doesn’t help the pounding head) I suspect the quality of the composition will suffer. I hope I don’t ramble. My goal here is to be as complete as possible, to compile as many of the events leading up to this conference as well as the events of the conference itself in one place, that others might draw upon it for future reference. Doing this with a head cold is especially painful. Please bear with me.
My other goal, poorly concealed, is to recruit you into Dominion Society. Only my Canadian readers need concern themselves with this motivation, but if you are one of my Canadian readers you should probably just accept that I’ll succeed in winning you over, and go sign up now. It will save you time. I’ve been a member from very early on, but haven’t yet promoted it here on this platform. After the events of the last weekend, the resourcefulness and wit displayed by the organizers, I’m now much more certain that this is something worth belonging to.
Despite the best clownish efforts of the theatre kids cosplaying as Canada’s governmental authorities, the Dominion Society successfully held the largest gathering of Canadian nationalists in generations.
I don’t want to overstate things, but I think this was an historic moment.
It was also a hell of a ride.
The Dominion Society was founded barely over a year ago, and rapidly exploded to over three thousand members across the country. It is a peaceful and explicitly non-partisan political advocacy group dedicated to advancing the cause of remigration within Canadian civil society. So far its activities have consisted mainly of selling branded merchandise, putting up posters, cleaning up parks, rallies to oppose Canadian towns from tearing down statues of Sir John A MacDonald and Samuel de Champlain, and a whole lot of social media campaigns.
To anyone in possession of some shred of sanity, all of this would seem to be entirely unobjectionable and non-threatening. To the Canadian government, which long ago released its hold on the last tenuous threads of sanity, this is a five-alarm political fire. They are, it seems, terrified of the Dominion Society to the point of hysteria.
Until recently the Canadian media – which by virtue of a generous state funding apparatus is de facto state media – has for the most part done its best to ignore the Dominion Society, treating it as an irrelevant collection of disgruntled kids who aren’t worth reporting on. That isn’t to say that the political class was not aware of DomSoc. Their founder, Daniel Tyrie, showed up at the Conservative Party conference several months ago with a number of supporters, trolling the Conservative Party of Canada with a big ‘Conserve What?’ sign outside the front door of the venue, showing a picture of CPC leader Pierre Poillievre wearing a Sikh temple hat during one of his many ethnic pandering junkets. The CPC very much noticed this, and were not impressed.
Since then Tyrie and his supporters have sparred with various CPC politicians on X, ratioing them on a fairly regular basis. On February 15th, the Flag Day that marks the 1965 transition from the original Canadian flag to the Maple Leaf, the House of Commons account got thoroughly ensignmogged by a swarm of Canadian nationalists declaring that the Red Ensign was their real flag.

The flag day ensignmogging was a remarkable eruption of nationalist energy, and it’s very difficult to imagine that the Canadian government has not noticed the sudden popularity of the Red Ensign and the Canadian shield as symbols of Canadian nationalism. This use of these discarded symbols makes Canadian politicians palpably anxious. They have spent many decades patiently erasing Canada’s past in order to socially engineer the wild colonials into the universal economic subject, and the revival of ethnically particular medieval heraldry signals something stirring within the deep recesses of the mass psyche. The natives are restless. Old and terrible gods are awakening.
The question of course is what they can do about that. So far the answer has been ‘not much that matters’. It would be one thing if the Dominion Society was a bad optics skinhead cult called the White Reich Front or something, brandishing sonnenrads on their shield walls as they formed up for street battle with Trantifa. This would be easily dealt with as something obviously frightening and foreign. But the Dominion Society is none of these things. It is named the Dominion Society, as in the Dominion of Canada – Canada’s official, full name, being a Dominion of the British Crown. Its symbolism draws upon Canada’s own traditional symbolism, symbols that are indeed still quietly used by the Canadian government itself, and it is therefore quite impossible for the regime to characterize DomSoc as something frightening and foreign on aesthetic grounds alone. Worse still, DomSoc is very smart about how it operates. They don’t march through the streets shouting and getting in fights: they’re polite and friendly, focusing on media activism and political pressure campaigns. Their messaging stays strictly within legal boundaries. Their over-arching goal is direct and simple: to popularize the concept of remigration, normalizing it as a topic in the national conversation, such that voters will begin spontaneously raising the issue with politicians: “If we can bring people in, why can’t we send them back? Planes fly in any direction.”
That’s already showing success, by the way: Canadian media has been forced to mention remigration more than a few times already (CBC, Globe & Mail), because people are talking about it to a degree that they can no longer ignore.
Several months ago Tyrie approached me about speaking at a Dominion Society Conference, DomCon26, to be held at the end of August. Naturally I accepted, and then thought no more about it. Being the talent, all I had to worry about was my own speech, which of course I procrastinated upon until the very last moment, scrambling to write it on the way to the conference the day before through a haze of panic and adrenaline and annoyance over a three-hour train delay (ah, VIA Rail), which always adds a frisson of excitement to one’s compositions. The beautiful thing about not being an organizer means that you don’t have to worry about organizing anything, you’re just along for the ride.
Perhaps a month ago, I noticed that things were beginning to get rocky.
The conference venue was being kept strictly confidential for reasons of operational security. The last thing anyone wanted was a mob of crustpunks showing up outside the front doors accompanied by the dense funk of body odour and stale pot smoke. The general location of DomCon, however, was made known from the very beginning: Hamilton, Ontario. I found this to be an interesting choice. Hamilton is an old steel town and therefore a union town, reduced in the aftermath of NAFTA and globalization to a rusted out ruin haunted by crackheads and fentanyl zombies. Since unions are historically left-aligned organizations heavily infiltrated by communists, union towns tend to be left-wing strongholds, which in the modern context means Trantifa, gay race communists, third-worldists, and general purpose civilizational suicide enthusiasts. Consistent with this, Hamilton’s mayor, Andrea Horwath, is the former leader of the Ontario New Democratic Party; for international readers, the NDP are Canada’s socialist party, and yes they have become every bit as demented as you’d expect. Imagine if the Democratic Socialists of America had their own party: that’s the NDP.
Horwath is at least somewhat presentable, but the same cannot be said of her son, who’s some kind of gender goblin styling himself a rapper. Here he is bragging about how the corrupt Hamilton police let him off on a DUI charge because mommy Mayor told them to.
In any case, Horwath was horrified by the news that a mob of hateful white nationalist Nazis were planning to meet in her city, and primly informed the world that Hate Has No Home Here. She then directed the Hamilton City Police to do something about it.
Hold on, I can here you thinking, what’s this about white nationalist Nazis? That doesn’t sound like what you’ve described at all. Indeed, dear reader, it is not, but Horwath was able to point to a dossier written by the Canadian Anti-Hate Network which confidently proclaimed DomSoc to be exactly this.
Notwithstanding its name, CAHN is not actually a network, but a front for the deranged imagination of one Evan Balgord, who has made a name for himself as a sort of Temu Hope Not Hate or SPLC figure within Canadian politics, obsessively researching the murky depths of the ultra extreme far right, which is to say documenting his fever dreams. Until recently he had government funding, making him a de facto arm of the Canadian state, but even Canada’s highly ideological Liberal Party government recently cut him off for embarrassing them by constantly making up nonsense, only for police and prosecutors to discover they’d been had once the nonsense they were working on the basis encountered the media or, worse, the defence attorney.

Balgord’s one-man ‘network’ was not the only group to weigh in against letting DomCon happen. A week or so before the event B’nai Brith Canada condemned the Dominion Society and called upon the City of Hamilton to deny DomCon a venue. Racism has no place in Canada, B’nai Brith insisted...
... just a day before it came out that B’nai Brith was refusing to rent its residential properties to non-Jews.
After Horwath began making noise, Hamilton’s Liberal Party Member of Parliament Aslam Rana - because of course that’s his name – released a letter whining about the ‘white nationalist Dominion Conference’. The post was severely ratioed, getting 173,000 views, 532 comments (almost entirely negative), and a whole 55 likes, with many of the replies and quote-tweets pointing out that it was deeply inappropriate for a right honourable member of parliament to seek to use the weight of his office to shut down Charter-protected political speech. Perhaps Rana is a bit fuzzy on that point. Maybe that’s how they do things in Pakistan. He’s only been in Canada since the early 2000s, after all, so it’s not like we can expect him to understand the norms of Canadian political culture.
Horwath is excitable and very stupid, so with CAHN’s schizoid defamations, B’nai Brith’s hypocritical condemnation, and Aslam Rana’s arguably illegal and certainly distasteful abuse of office ringing in her ears, she ginned up a panic in the media about an immanent invasion of her nice, impoverished, drug-soaked, crime-ridden city by a threatening group of clean-cut, well-dressed, law-abiding white supremacists. To give some teeth to her caterwauling, she then sicced the Hamilton Police on the conference.
A few years ago the Hamilton Police formed a sizable ‘EDI1, Community Relations, and Hate Crime & Extremism Unit.’
I have no idea how the EDICRHCEU (what is it with these people and acronyms that look like someone fed the alphabet to a blender?) justify their salaries, as hate crimes are not actually a common occurrence in Canada (at least not the kind committed by white people, which are the only kind the likes of EDICRHCEU have any enthusiasm for punishing), but I assume they’ve mostly filled their days organizing tiresome EDI workshops in order to ensure the beat cops are properly indoctrinated with anti-white and anti-male attitudes.

Anyhow, for the EDICRHCEU, this was their moment. An actual hate crime of cosmic proportions was about to transpire in their own grotty little back yard, and it was up to them to stop it!
The only problem they had was that nothing criminal was taking place. They had hate, but no crime. What do?
After some internal hemming and hawing, which I can only imagine as a sort of Mexican standoff of virtue signalling in which none of them could actually come up with a legal pretext to intervene but neither could any of them admit that maybe the wisest course was to do nothing because that would mean that they were letting hate win and therefore weren’t heckin’ good folx, and besides which the mayorette was sobbing in furious terror on the phone, they decided upon good old fashioned mafia tactics.
The DomCon organizers had, I understand, done the responsible thing and quietly let the cops know the location of their secret venue, so that there wouldn’t be any surprises for law enforcement. The EDICRHCEU used this information to contact the venue and pressure them into cancelling the event, which they did just three days before the event was set to begin. They then did the same thing to the backup venue the organizers had already set up. As they were bullying DomCon’s venues into cancelling, the EDICRHCEU demanded that DomCon pay them for offering security, because obviously there was a significant possibility of Trantifa showing up and so far as the bien pensants of the Diversity Squad were concerned, if the antifascists rioted it was obviously the fault of the fascists for, you know, existing. This tactic of demanding that the potential victims of violence pay the police for protection has been a popular one on university campuses, where it’s been used to pre-emptively cancel conservative speaking events without having to overtly admit that you’re stepping on anyone’s rights to free speech.
The organizers told the police to stuff their demands for payment, and meanwhile got busy scrambling to find a venue. The EDICRHCEU wasn’t done with them, though. Their goons were systematically contacting every potential venue in the city and pressuring them to refuse to rent to the conference. Of course, they would never directly order a private venue to do this. No, not at all, they were merely informing them about the potential client was a vicious ultra far extreme uber right wing neo-nazi white supremacist hate group that probably hates kittens and rainbows too, and asking them, as fellow deeply concerned citizens suffused with the purest of love for the universal brotherhood of man, to consider the impact such a vile group might have on vulnerable communities. “Hey, nice place you got here, sure would be a shame if we told everyone that you let LITERAL NAZIS use it ... can’t imagine what that might do to your business, if word got out...”
This act of petty, clownish tyranny was, it turned out, precisely the stupidest possible thing the diversity squad could have done, which I suppose is par for the course for a diversity squad. The Hamilton Police’s announcement that their goons were harassing event venues went viral on X, getting ratioed to oblivion (1.8 million views, 225 likes) by quote tweets (comments were instantly turned off) condemning the keystone stasi for interfering with Charter protected rights to freedom of assembly and freedom of speech. It’s doubtful that the diversity squad was overly troubled by vitriol on Trillionaire Hitler’s Online Hate Machine, which by now they expect and are inured to, but it was not only nationalist anons scolding them. Mainstream Conservative Party politicians and centre-right journalists, who adopted the frame of ‘I do not agree with what these lunatics say, but I will speak up for their right to say it,’ joined in on the condemnation. It wasn’t even exclusively Canadians becoming irate: several high-profile American personalities weighed in. The dogpile was enthusiastic and total.

Civil liberties groups were on hand to apply pressure as well. Lawyers from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedom spontaneously sent a warning letter to the Hamilton Police, chiding them for clear violations of the Charter, and implying that they were opening themselves to expensive litigation, while the Democracy Fund later issued a statement of concern.
The online journalism outlet Wiretap Media called up the number provided to the public by the Hamilton Police for a snitch line and had a little conversation with the officer in charge of the operation, which they posted in full on X. The uniformed invertebrate squirmed like a worm on a hook as he insisted that Charter rights weren’t being violated because the police weren’t ordering venues not to rent to DomSoc, merely informing them of the nature of the organization; he insisted that he was not interested in discussing ideology despite being tasked with enforcing it; he punted responsibility by insisting that the decision to pursue this course of action had been arrived at collectively; he finally hung up when the journalist asked if the order had come from above (confirming, as we later learned, that it obviously had). The bit about ideology was particularly galling: the officer in question headed up the EDICRHCEU. Race communists always seek to move their ideology from the realm of politics to the apolitical domain of administration, placing it beyond debate by turning it into policy, not a question of ‘should we do this?’ but simply ‘how should we do this?’
Unfortunately, the Hamilton Police succeeded in establishing a chilling effect within their jurisdiction, and even beyond it. A few small nearby municipalities pre-emptively announced that they would not allow DomSoc to use whatever venues they had, not that DomSoc had even been looking at them. Liberal women miss no opportunity to signal their dyscivic disloyalties.
Ken Jones, the Dominion Society Director of Operations, uploaded a tongue in cheek video in which he announced that the conference would be held around the Brock Monument in Queenston Heights. This was obviously a troll – you don’t hold a conference in a park, for God’s sake – but nevertheless it was enough for the hysterical park management to announce in panic that the park would be closed to all for the entire day.
As municipal governments were scrambling to deny DomCon a venue, the federal government was moving to deny DomCon its speakers, the highest profile of whom were coming from outside the country.
Martin Sellner, the father of the idea of remigration and founder of the European street activist group Generation Identity, had been invited as the headline speaker and publicly announced a month or so before the conference. Being a responsible and conscientious Austrian, Sellner of course applied for the electronic Travel Authorization the powers that be recently decided that we all needed in addition to passports well in advance.
eTAs are supposed to be granted within 72 hours, but Sellner never received a decision. Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada never actually denied Sellner an eTA. There were no grounds on which to do so: Sellner has no criminal record; has no association with espionage, subversion, terrorism, or violence; has not been convicted of war crimes or international human rights violations; is not a member of a criminal organization; is not infected with a contagious disease; was not lacking in sufficient funds; and had never been to Canada and therefore had never previously violated the terms of his visa. ‘We don’t like your politics’ is not actually sufficient cause under Canadian law to deny entry. Nevertheless, IRCC really didn’t want Sellner in the country, so it went with the most passive-aggressive, feminine tactic possible: they gave him the silent treatment. By failing to grant Sellner an eTA in a timely fashion, they were able to prevent him from boarding his flight. Sellner took all of this in stride. He’s become quite accustomed to procedural harassment from the managerial bureaucracy, having been debanked more times than he can count, and having been refused entry into the UK and various European countries (on grounds that the Canadian government hasn’t yet succeeded in granting itself the permission to invoke).
DomCon’s other publicly announced high-profile international speaker was Charlie Downes, the spokesman for Restore Britain. Unlike Sellner, Downes’ eTA was granted immediately. However, just before his flight, his eTA was effectively revoked by having its status changed to ‘reopened’. Not ‘denied’, you understand, but simply ‘we’re having second thoughts’. Downes therefore bought a last-minute ticket to the US, which isn’t participating in the absurd eTA system that the tyrants presiding over the formerly free world are so suddenly enthusiastic about, with the idea of crossing into Canada overland, which it seems doesn’t require an eTA. The result of this was that Charlie was stopped at the border for three hours by the Canadian Customs Borders Services Agency.
CBSA agents tore Charlie’s car apart and brought in drug dogs to look for any contraband with which to give them an excuse to deny him entry. They also subjected him to a farcical interrogation, asking him questions such as from where Restore Britain received its funding, what he knew about the purported Neo-Nazi connections of the Dominion Society, and whether he’d ever engaged in paramilitary training with an armed militia. In fairness to the CBSA agents, Charlie says that they themselves seemed quite bored and even mildly annoyed by the affair, giving him the strong impression that the dumb questions and pointless security theatre were the result of directives that had come down from on high, which they almost certainly did, and which tells us a great deal about the quality of minds that have been elevated to on high. At any rate, after a few hours, unable to find an excuse to keep him out, the CBSA agents granted him entry to the country.
It’s worth emphasizing that Restore Britain, which boasts over 150,000 members, is one of Britain’s largest political parties, and that it has a sitting Member of Parliament in the person of Rupert Lowe. As such Downes is effectively an emissary of parliament, and not just any parliament, but the Mother of Parliaments. His shameful treatment at the hands of the CBSA is arguably an insult to the honour of His Majesty King Charles III, who remains Canada’s head of state, as well as to Canada’s NATO ally, fellow Five Eyes member, and motherland, the United Kingdom. Of course we all know that no one in the Canadian government, or for that matter the British government, cares much for such diplomatic decorum, but that just serves as further demonstration that we are all ruled by rude and traitorous idiots.
Sellner and Downes were not the only controversial international speakers, but they were the only ones who were publicly announced. The speakers list also included surprise guests Lucy White, of Britain’s White Paper Policy Institute, and Jared Taylor, who I assume needs no introduction. Neither White nor Taylor experienced any bureaucratic interference with their entry to Canada, which suggests very strongly that the Canadian security state were not relying on high-tech SIGINT monitoring of DomSoc coms or super-secret HUMINT penetration of DomSoc’s internal command structure, but were just reading social media feeds like everyone else.
The hysterical overreactions of the Canadian government were not, in the end, successful in preventing DomCon26 from happening. They did succeed in generating a Streisand Effect, whereby hundreds of thousands if not millions of people who had never heard of the Dominion Society became aware of it for the first time. Donations poured in for an emergency fund-raising drive. The regime’s hyperventilating rhetoric about le sinister white nationalist neo-nazis was significantly blunted by the obvious framing around freedom of speech and assembly, which implicitly cast the government in the role of heavy-handed oppressor. By this point, on the other end of the long decade of the Cancelled Years, having seen a succession of moral panics over supposed neo-nazis, a lot of people are exhausted and fed up with being pushed around by these sanctimonious wokescolds, and have taken to defaulting to the assumption that the people pointing fingers and screaming ‘NAZI!’ are ‘the real Nazis’.
Perhaps as a result of the good will this public persecution generated, Ken Jones was successful, at the very last minute, in securing a venue in Burlington, just outside the Hamilton city limits. Jones deserves a lot of credit for that. On the day of the conference itself he was clearly absolutely wiped, to the point of being only semi-coherent, a state of mind that was shared by the rest of the organizers. Oh, and the venue was actually much nicer than the backup venue, which has itself been nicer than the original venue, and the organizers would like to thank Andrea Horwath and the Hamilton Police for forcing them to step up their game and accept nothing less than the very best.
Here’s the trailer video they showed at the beginning of the conference. It’s pretty good.
The sold-out conference began on the appointed day, more or less at the appointed hour, without a hitch, smooth as silk. The venue’s location was released to attendees at the very last minute, in order to make it as hard as possible for counter-protesters to disrupt the proceedings. As it turned out a handful of them showed up, but only a handful. The Burlington Police were already there to inform them that while they were within their rights to express their stupid opinions, the venue’s parking lot was private property, and they therefore had to express those stupid opinions on its distant edge, standing in the grass without any shade. As a result of this the only Nazis they got to heckle were the few who came over to mine them for social media content. The young DomSoc provocateur Max Genest disregarded the advice of his elder compatriots to go talk to Trantifa; as it happened, he was in no particular danger, thanks to there being only a few of them, those few being rather demoralized and listless, and there being plenty of wary police hovering nearby. The conservative journalist Harrison Faulkner was also on hand to confront the spiteful mutants, as part of his general coverage of the event.
Back in Hamilton, Andrea Horwath hosted a little Hope Not Hate demo at City Hall, attended by a small clutch of geriatrics high on the ghost of John Lennon and the paramoral rush of dispossessing their children for cheap labour and expensive real estate. The contrast between the small gatherings of elderly leaflibs and spiteful mutants on the one hand, and the predominantly young, male, clean-cut DomCon attendees on the other, was, well, exactly what you’d expect really.
Back to the conference itself. It opened with a full-throated rendition of O Canada, with the conference organizers standing in front of a huge, six-foot-wide, open weave cloth red ensign that Ken Jones obtained on loan from a close friend. It was a battle flag flown in the Korean War. The original idea was for it to be the backdrop for the entire event, but they couldn’t hang it at the new venue.
Over the last several years Canadians have become accustomed to interminable reminders, preceding every sporting event, theatrical production, graduation ceremony, or public ceremony that we are holding the event on stolen native land. Of course, the land acknowledgement the Master of Ceremonies and DomSoc Director Matt Baker opened the conference with wasn’t that kind of land acknowledgement:
“I’d like to take a moment to start off with a land acknowledgement … Where the media thought we would be gathering today. We, the Dominion Society of Canada, would like to acknowledge that the land of Hamilton, Ontario was once a barren wilderness. First discovered by Étienne Brûlé, the French explorer & protege of Samuel De Champlain in 1616. In 1650 the Iroquois of upstate New York arrived in Hamilton to genocide and displace thousands of First Nations peoples of the neutral confederacy; for the pursuit of material gains & to advance themselves as the primary vendors of the North American fur trade. These traditional lands were eventually tamed, tilled & built by the United Empire Loyalists, who travelled north throughout the American Revolutionary War to show their patriotism to the Crown. Conceived as a town by George Hamilton & receiving official city status on June 9th, 1846. The Dominion Society of Canada has been acknowledging and promoting the importance of our history, religion & way of life, to protect our uniquely distinct Canadian heritage, since our inception on July 1st of 2025. This land acknowledgement is intended to educate those blind to our history, and for those who are new around here. We are not a nation of immigrants, we are a nation of explorers, settlers and soldiers.”
Matt Baker
Over dinner I remarked to Matt that DomSoc should look into developing localized land acknowledgements of this sort for every chapter across the country, ideally somewhat less verbose, streamlined for rapid delivery. After the Indigenous land acknowledgement, activists attending public events could rush the stage to grab the mic, or just use a megaphone, in order to deliver the Settler-Canadian land acknowledgement. Canadians have quietly come to loathe these constant humiliation rituals, and I suspect that some public pushback may well elicit appreciation; if it did, that could help to break the spell.
I had the honour of providing the first talk, which I considered something of a dubious honour beforehand; I only discovered my position in the speaker’s list when I arrived at the venue, and was filled with trepidation to find out not only that I was up first, but that I only had 15 minutes (I’d assumed 20 or 25, and had written my speech accordingly; anyhow, I mostly ignored that, and just delivered my talk). I’m extremely grateful to Dimes for taking me aside beforehand for a pep talk. Once I started speaking the pre-talk jitters subsided and I relaxed into performance mode as I rode the adrenaline wave, delivering what I think was a well-received discussion of the contrasting and complementary nature of liberalism and loyalism, with the idea of fleshing out loyalism as an intellectually coherent post-liberal political ideology for the 21st century which centres and celebrates bonds to family, friends, nation, heritage, culture, and land, as opposed to the liberal imperative of emancipation from all bonds chosen or unchosen. I was worried that this was maybe a bit too academic and theoretical, but I felt that this was an important idea to inject into the discourse at this point in time, given that we’re all calling each other ‘loyalists’ now but no one really knows what that means. The speech was adapted from a much longer essay that I’ve been working on for a while, which will be published in due time.
The second speaker was Alexandre Cormier-Denis, who I expect very few of you have heard of. Alexandre is the co-founder of Nomos TV and a big deal in French Canadian nationalism, which like everything French is somewhat sealed off from the Anglo world by the language barrier and the long-standing antipathy of national rivalry. As such he was taking a significant reputational risk in speaking at DomCon, not so much because the left would attack him – as a public figure he’s used to that, Antifa once firebombed his car – but rather due to hostility from his own colleagues on the French Canadian right. This made his presence absolutely diplomatically essential in my opinion. Closing the distance between the French Canadian right and resurgent Anglo Canadian nationalism is an indispensable step in claiming the mantle of national leadership, as historically achieving solidarity across the two solitudes has been a very difficult thing to do. But the Canadian political project simply cannot survive without doing it.
Alexandre described how French Canadian nationalism, since its sovereigntist turn in the 1960s, has been inflected with the third-world Marxism of national liberation struggles. In this it has much in common with Scottish, Irish, Basque, and Catalan nationalism. Unlike the these other examples, however, French Canadian nationalists are not shy about their immigration skepticism. However, they are trapped within the politically correct norms established by Anglo Canada (in turn enforced by the United States), which prohibits them from expressing this in purely racial or ethnic terms. Therefore they sublimate anxiety over replacement migration through proxies, predominantly the French language but also a commitment to the secularism inherited from the Quiet Revolution, in order to establish barriers to immigration. While Quebec has been kept whiter than most of the rest of Canada, these barriers are imperfect, and in practice have resulted in immigration to Quebec being drawn from the worst shitholes on the planet – Haiti, Algeria, Cote d’Ivoire, and so on. It is Alexandre’s thesis that French Canadian nationalists will not be able to openly pursue what they truly desire – demographic security for French Canadians – until their Anglo Canadian partners snap out of their suicidal hypnosis and remember who they are.
“In the traditional spirit of French Canadians, Anglo-Canadians were supposed to be the masters of the world, the proud descendants of the Empire on which the sun never sets. You, proud descendants of the Anglo-Saxon people, have won every war for two centuries. You beat France in the Seven Years’ War, you beat Napoleon’s Grande Armée, you defeated nationalist Germany twice and then the communist USSR during the Cold War. But to what end? Where is the eternal Anglo? Where are the sons of Richard the Lionheart, of the Black Prince, of James Wolfe, or of Isaac Brock? Anglo-Canadian men, roll up your sleeves, lift your heads, and take back what is yours!”
Alexandre Cormier-Denis
Following Alexandre, Martin Sellner delivered his talk – pre-recorded, but accompanied by a life-size cut-out at the podium – in which he focused on, naturally enough, the necessity of remigration for the preservation of national identity, in a Canadian rather than his usual European context. He also took the occasion to point out the hypocrisy of the Canadian government, which pretends that it cannot really control the borders, that it is impossible to deport rapists, murderers, and avowed terrorists on grounds of their ‘human rights’, that every asylum seeker with a sob story must be given residency, free food and housing, and tens of thousands of dollars a year in spending money ... but somehow finds the ability to block well-intentioned people such as himself, who intended to do no more than visit for a few days, deliver a short talk, see some sights, and enjoy some poutine. The Canadian government manufactures every excuse in the world to let in people Canadians don’t want in their country, but does not even bother inventing an excuse when it wants to keep out someone who criticizes this.
The next speaker was Ken Jones, who given that he was operating on zero sleep after several absolutely frantic days was understandably a bit scattered, offering some fragmentary thoughts on the necessity of Anglo-French cooperation, the need for white babies, the absurd shenanigans of the Canadian government, and so on.
“Git ‘er done.”
Ken Jones
Fortissax was up next, and provided a historical overview of how the original Loyalist Canada was paved over by the liberal cultural revolution of the 1960s and 70s, describing how Lester B. Pearson switched out the red ensign for the maple leaf specifically because he wished to dispose of the old flag’s naked ethnic symbolism; how an immigration system explicitly designed to maintain Canada’s white and indeed Anglo-French ethnic character was replaced with a race-blind, ‘meritocratic’, ‘points-based’ system; how Anglo-French biculturalism was replaced with official multiculturalism by Pierre Trudeau. This established the historical context of DomCon26, the first such conference in three generations. “I come to you now at the turning of the tide...”
“For most of our lives we have been told that the old Canada was finished. We refuse to accept that verdict. Canadian nationalism is back, after three generations.”
Fortissax
The organizers then called the Dominion Society volunteers, whose unglamorous and thankless behind the scenes work made the conference possible, up onto the stage to induct them into the DomSoc’s new Order of the Beaver.
Here I’m going to pause to give another shout-out to Dimes. Dimes isn’t formally a part of the Dominion Society, but he did an enormous amount of work helping to organize the conference: locating the original venues, handling the logistics of obtaining accommodations and transportation for the speakers, and probably other things I’m not aware of. Dimes is no stranger to this kind of work. He’s organized a couple of other speaking events in Toronto with the Company of Adventurers, along with a cabin retreat last summer; I attended all three of these, and all three of them were excellent. He hasn’t made a cent from any of this organizing work, or received nearly enough recognition for it, in my opinion. On top of this selfless effort on behalf of the scene, Dimes runs Blood $atellite, which is in my opinion one of the best podcasts in This Thing Of Ours (a phrasing I stole from Dimes). Every episode starts with an insightful and extremely funny discussion of the news of the day and a book review, which he does with his co-host Judas, along with an interview with a person of interest in the scene. Blood $atellite is criminally under the radar. Dimes also maintains a Substack, the Vanguardist Journal, where he publishes some of the most interesting, original, and entertainingly well written essays coming out of our scene. Like Blood $atellite, the Vanguardist Journal is reprehensibly undersubscribed. I think Dimes deserves to get a little something for all the work he does, for instance some subscribers, and the purpose of this interjection is to bully all of you into heading over to his chudstack and smashing that subscribe button.
Charlie Downes gave an absolutely phenomenal talk, and I don’t say this merely because it touched on some of the same themes as my own, giving the thematic arc of the conference is a pleasing symmetry. Charlie is an accomplished, articulate, and passionate speaker. His talk consisted of the first two of the seven principles of his political program, those being the primacy of identity, and the importance of Christianity. On the subject of identity Charlie was first refuting the common establishment trope that our countries are creedal, defined by their values: our ideologies and religions have changed regularly throughout history, but the British people were no less British when they were Catholics and monarchists than when they were Protestants or socialists. Charlie emphasized the importance of the deep, pre-political bonds of identity in laying the foundation for national life and for politics, something which echoed my own take on the stance of loyalism towards the bonds between men.
“Our civilisation will not be restored by marginally lower immigration, marginally lower taxes, another review, another commission, or another election in which the fundamental assumptions of the ruling class remain beyond question. The crisis we face is deeper than policy because its causes are deeper than policy. We therefore require something more ambitious than conventional conservatism. We require restoration: the restoration of our peoples in their ancestral homelands and of Christianity to the heart of our civilisation. The ruling class will call this extreme. Let them. There is nothing extreme about defending your inheritance, loving your people, worshipping God, raising a family, or wanting your children to inherit a civilisation recognisably continuous with that of their ancestors. The true extremists are those who have spent generations tearing these things down. Our task in the coming decades is to begin their restoration.”

The last talk of the general admission session was delivered by Daniel Tyrie, who like his compatriot Ken Jones was a bit scattered for the understandable reason that he hadn’t slept while he dealt with a series of overlapping conference-stopping crises. It ended very emotionally, with Daniel embracing his friends and shedding a few happy tears of relief that everything had come together so well in the end.
“It’s all a blur.”
Daniel Tyrie
After this everyone broke apart to mingle and engage in some animated discussion and networking, following which the VIPs gathered for dinner. Jared Taylor delivered the opening remarks, letting us know how proud he was that Canadians were finally coming together to begin the gruelling political work of retaking our country, and confidently proclaiming that though he would likely be in his grave before we achieved our final victory, he had no doubt that the hundreds of young people gathered together in that room would live to see their countries reclaimed. Jared also took the time to write up the conference at American Renaissance, where he provides what I think is an excellent summary of the talks.
“Meetings like his don’t just give me hope. They give me confidence that we will prevail!”
Jared Taylor
The final talk of the evening was given by the elegant Lucy White, who presented the Canadian remigration policy developed by the White Paper Policy Institute, which you can read in full here. Lucy gave a very polished, professional presentation, complete with PowerPoint slides full of pie charts and bar graphs showing the demographic changes Canada had undergone since the beginning of replacement migration era, the current state of the country’s population balance, and what we could plausibly achieve with a robust remigration policy. This was in my opinion the most operationally important element of the meeting, as the WPPI has provided a comprehensive, practical, and humane program of remigration that any Canadian government could begin implementing tomorrow if it so chose. Lucy emphasized that remigration is absolutely necessary if Canadians are going to keep our country, since differential birth rates mean that we have already reached the replacement level: even with no further immigration, non-whites will be the majority within a generation or so.
“Canadians are demanding Remigration. Recent polls show 65% of Canadians believe that Canada is accepting too many legal immigrants. Canadians are well and truly awake to the reality that legal migration is a far bigger issue than illegal migration. The overwhelming majority of these legal migrants are third worlders. In 2021, 83% of all immigration into Canada was of non-European ancestry. This is demographic replacement. Stay positive Canada – this can be reversed through Remigration. Visas can be revoked and passports can be removed through denaturalisation. Remigration will become a reality. 11 million migrants of non-European ancestry can legally and legitimately be sent back home, which would reduce Canada’s population from over 41 million to below 30 million.”
Lucy White
The remainder of the evening was spent conversing, drinking, and smoking cigars outside of a bar in Hamilton, with a brief excursion to take a group photo beside a monument to the surveyor who had first identified the site of settlement. And they thought they could keep us out of the city...
Speaking of which, the Canadian regime has tried to spin their effort to shut down the conference as a victory, since they did after all successfully prevent DOMCON26 from taking place inside Hamilton.
The truth, however, is that Leviathan wasn’t trying to stop the Dominion Society from meeting in Hamilton. They were trying to prevent the Dominion Society from meeting at all. The goal was to deny DomSoc a venue, prevent DomSoc’s speakers from entering the country, and hopefully to scare away DomSoc’s supporters from attending. Their failure was therefore almost complete. The conference took place as planned, once it began everything went smoothly, the venue was packed, and the only speaker they actually prevented from crossing the border addressed the conference remotely ... and his absence was itself a propaganda victory for DomSoc, as it paints the Canadian regime as a clumsy, low-IQ tyranny.
As a direct result of the successful conference, donations and memberships have poured into the organization, which is now growing faster than ever. The hyperventilating reaction from politicians, the media, and the police has elevated the Dominion Society to national prominence. I was somewhat concerned, before the conference began, that it would get Charlottesvilled somehow: that the conference would be shut down, or that there would be some outbreak of violence that the media would be able to use to paint the Dominion Society as a pack of antisocial lunatics. The Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville broke the back of the 2017-era Alt-Right, and set the American right wing ecosystem (and by extension the global right) back by years. Everyone who attended looked like a loser and a monster, leading to supporters keeping their heads down and distancing themselves, while the leadership got dragged through the courts and fell apart in vicious in-fighting.
That is not what happened at DomCon26. Instead it is the authorities who look like impotent bullies, which is really the worst kind of bullies. They also look extremely foolish, because their propaganda made it seem like Nazis were going to rampage through the streets in some kind of anti-immigrant kristallnacht or something. Instead what happened was ... nothing much of note. A few hundred political nerds got together to listen to some speeches, chat over a few drinks, and then everyone went home without so much as a broken window or a bruised cheek.
Meanwhile Dominion Society have become the strong horse. The full weight of the Canadian state came down on top of them, and they did not break. It would have been easy for them to do so. They could have thrown in the towel when their first two venues cancelled on them, and others pre-emptively closed their doors. If they had, the Dominion Society’s momentum would have stalled out; the organizers understood this, which is why they did not break. Because they did not break, now they look like winners. Attendees are fanning back out across the country, full of energy, good vibes, and new friendships.
I have no idea what will happen next with the Dominion Society. Personally, I’m pulling for a French conference in Quebec, bringing in voices from the French right and the Quebec nationalist scene, in order to further cultivate those connections. I’m sure there will be another conference of some sort next year, hopefully larger and even more successful. Between now and then, though, I have no doubt that there will be a lot of other activity. The Dominion Society of Canada is just getting started.
If you’re Canadian, and you love your country, and you want to take it back, you should think seriously about joining the Dominion Society. Annual memberships are only $25 a year – twenty five Canadian dollars, so not that much at all really – and imply no further commitment of time or energy on your part. Membership comes with a numbered card and a sweet pin, a new pin every year that you renew in fact. The long-term goal is for long-time DomSoc members to be tricked out with more bling than a Latin American El Presidente.

Of course, the Dominion Society is always hungry for activists, so if you’d like to do more than just donate and actually get involved in your local area, there’s a lot of room for that, too. They don’t just take anyone for activist roles: there’s a vetting and on-boarding process, and that takes some time (there’s still a considerable backlog), so if this is something you’d be interested in, just be patient.
As always, dear reader, if you’ve made it all the way to the end, I would like to thank you for your patience and your attention. And, also as always, I would like to thank my supporters, whose generosity makes it possible for me to spend my days attending these events, writing about them, and writing about so much else besides, and moreover to provide it all for free, without a paywall, for any and all to read. I couldn’t do it without you. If you’d like to become a supporter of Postcards From Barsoom, it’s as easy as clicking this button:
As an aside, Canadian organizations insist on the formulation ‘EDI’, in preference to the more common ‘DEI’, because you see ‘DEI’ is American, and using the same acronym would give the wrong impression, namely that the ideologues infesting the bureaucracy are animated by an imported American ideology, which is definitely not what is happening.

Wishing you health and success from the States.
Congratulations on pulling it off! I admit I was skeptical you'd get around the leafstazi, but it turns out "you can just do things" still, even in Canada, with enough grit.
I wonder how much DEI competency collapse is paving the way for more of these kinds of humiliations. Is it just going to get easier from here? Have their competent but witless institutional enablers been ground to paste beneath the woke juggernaut?
Not that I suggest overconfidence. But it seems like they're just not bringing the same caliber to the fight as they were a few years back.
Anyway good luck to you guys and your future endeavors. Would certainly be nice for us down here below the hair line to be able to look forward to a less embarrassing hat. If only we could get the fat body back in shape...
