Welcome to the test flight of Martian Wonderland, a joint project between Postcards From Barsoom and The Wonderland Rules in which I sit down with
to discuss the wyrd world of Neo-Gonzo.Our hazy intention for this first episode was to discuss masculinity over a gin and tonic, but we got derailed almost immediately discussing the merits of bottom-up vs. top-down mermaid gfs and the important philosphical implications of one’s romantic preferences in that regard. Despite Jay’s heroic efforts to keep things on track we continued to bounce across the sociopolitical landscape like excited beagles with nuclear reactors in our bellies. There was something about the fearnado unleashed in the BlueAnon mind by the Trumpocalypse, we ripped on Handmaid’s Tale enjoyers LARPing as handmaids and what this says about their sexual psychology, and there was talk of useful vs useless sacrifice and its relation to winning in the long term vs losing in the short run. I honestly can’t really remember what we talked about otherwise, aside from that a fair bit of it was NSFW.
In the future we’ll try to be more disciplined and stuff. Maybe try and take notes. Maybe even start with notes.
