It’s gone from a suspension of the right to travel for the unvaccinated to a suspension on the ban on the unvaccinated traveling. The direction of progression is pretty clear, best to stay away if you have a life elsewhere. I never fail to be disgusted at how people in Canada, Australia and New Zealand especially have lapped up being treated like cattle. Maybe it’s different in some rural areas? People would have a reason and the means to dig in and resist for years (can’t really see the ban on trading handguns and mag limits being followed in isolated areas, plus there is access to a food supply). I think the next winter will be crucial; do or die for both sides globally by the looks of it.
I’m in Vermont and not being able to go to Canada has been a big blow to my happiness. Any guesses as to why Trudeau refuses to let Canada be free? It’s like he’s trying to win a prize gor biggest a-hole.

John. I understand your frustration. But the situation in Canada is not only caused by an ex-drama teacher in charge. Your tribunals and the members of parliament (or whatever you call them) are also to blame. What are they doing?
I live in Minnesota, and I have always found Canadians to be humorless about law and order, particularly at the border; but once across, they tend to be pleasant and full of humor. Of course I have not tried to cross in the last 2.5 years, and imagine I may never be able to again. Should I, it would be to paddle into the million acre Quetico wilderness in Southern Ontario, across from the Boundary Waters Wilderness. I wonder if they treat that as quarantine, if I don't see more than a handful of people in a week, from a great distance? Or maybe I have to wear a mask? Or maybe I have to have a negative test before I enter so I don't spread CVD to the animals and thereby Ontario? What if I catch and release a fish but give it CVD!
